Door Project A
This six and half foot door was exposed to the outdoor weather for about twenty years, with very little treatment. So, the client felt that it was time to give it some new life.
The inside of this door was in very good shape. The decision of the client was to have the outside of the door, match the inside. We had taken it off, sanded it down, and removed the oil treatment that was used to attempt to to retain the door’s look. The oil was not as successful, as hoped by the owner.
After a lot of hand sanding, we prepped the door, and stained the wood. Locks were replaced, the same handle was placed back on, and the hinges were brought back to their original state. Weather stripping was added to keep the bottom of the door sealed, and protected. This job was completed within a week.
It was greatly appreciated to receive the compliments once the job was completed. Hearing that our work made the door look better than it’s original state, was an honor since we take pride in every project that we do for anyone.
